James Treloar 1774 - 1838

Seventh GenerationTo be found on Page 52 of Orson Lee Treloar's book James7 TRELOAR (James6, Bennet5, Thomas4, John3, Wearne2, John1 Werne TRELOWARTH) of St Martin-in-Menage at marriage, son of James TRELOAR and Mary JENKINS. He was baptised at Wendron on 6 February 1774. He was buried at Wendron 13 October 1838 aged 64, he died at St Elvin, Sithney, now Porthlevan, at the workhouse for the poor. he was an agricultural labourer. He is mentioned in the will of 1810. The signature of James on father's adm. compares with that on his marriage certificate. He married Honnor LUGG on 30 December 1802 at St Martin-in-Menage. Both signed at marriage. Witnesses were Geo. LUGG and Sampson STEPHENS. Honnor LUGG was of St Martin-in-Menage at marriage. She was born about 1782, she was aged 55 in the 1841 census (of Lower Green, Helston with John Colenso family. She died 2 April 1866 aged 84 at Lower Green, Helston, Cornwall, widow of James TRELOAR, farmer. J Colenso present at death. James TRELOAR and Honnor LUGG had the following family: i. Honnor TRELOAR was baptised 7 April 1805 at Wendron. She married on 25 November 1832 at Helston to John COLENSO. ii. James TRELOAR was baptised 8 March 1807 at Wendron. His burial was not found at Sithney, Wendron or Helston. iii. James TRELOAR was baptised 2 April 1809 at Helston. He died 21 June 1873. He married on 9 November 1830 at Sithney to Margaret TYACK. iv. Bennet TRELOAR was born 19 August 1814 at Castle Wary, Wendron and baptised at Baptist Chapel, Helston on 16 September 1819. m.20 Jul 1839 Breage to Jane Cowls of full age of Porthlevin Breage This marriage. is on the new layout register giving Bennet as of Stithians, father as James. Thomas Cowls was witness. Breage Marr Reg page 47 no 94 refers v. Elizabeth TRELOAR was born 1 April 1817 at castle Wary, Wendron and baptised 16 September 1819 at Baptist Chapel, Helston. She married on 12 July 1845? at Wendron to John ROGERS. vi. Ann TRELOAR was born 8 June 1819 at Newnham, Sithney and baptised 16 September 1819 at Baptist Chapel, Helston. vii. Grace Lugg TRELOAR was born 14 February 1822 at Newnham, Sithney and baptised 3 June 1822 at Baptist Chapel, Helston She married John Crowle JULEFF on 15 August 1847 in St Mary's Church, Truro.
