Fifth GenerationTo be found on Page 243 of Orson Lee Treloar's book Humphrey5 TRELOAR (John4 John3, Wearne2, John2 Werne TRELOWARTH) son of John TRELOAR and Dorothy CARNBELLOCK was baptised 18 October 1696; d. 31 Dec.1762 Wendron. He married 2 May 1756 at Wendron to Joan Martyn. Children of Humphrey TRELOAR and Joan MARTYN: i. Elizabeth TRELOAR bp. 27 June 1756 ii Margaret TRELOAR bp. 7 May 1758 iii. Mary TRELOAR d. 21 Sept 1760, Wendron. NOTE: Orson did not link Humphrey with John and Dorothy, but as they are the only couple who had a child called Humphrey, and as he is the only Humphrey, and the dates fit, I am making this assumption of parentage. Note also that he was 58 on his marriage to Joan Martyn. Peter Treloar makes this note: It seems to me that Humphrey was elderly when married, unless there are other younger Humphreys not recorded, and that if it is the one born in 1696, Joan must have been much younger to bear children, therefore the Joan who married to Simon Richards in 1765 and had a son Humphrey is probably the widow of Humphrey. accordingly: Joan (Martyn) TRELOAR.(widow of Humphrey TRELOAR) md Simon RICHARDS at Wendron 2 Sept 1765 Children of Joan TRELOAR and Simon RICHARDS: i. Jane RICHARDS, bp. 31 Mar 1766, Wendron ii. Joan RICHARDS, bp. 16 Apr 1770, Wendron --also listed as Joanna, same date iii. Humphrey RICHARDS, bp. 9/16 Feb 1772, Wendron iv. Joan RICHARDS, bp. 26 Jun 1774, Wendron v. Joan RICHARDS, bp. 16 Feb 1777, Wendron This page has not been proven and should not be taken as such. Researcher interested in this family Ann Berry |
