Second GenerationThe following person appears on page 2 of Treloar History Book 1522 - 2004 0005: Benedict5 TRELOARTH (Werne1 TRELOWARTH) was born about 1581 in Wendron, CON and died on 1 Jul 1628 in Wendron, CON, about age 47. Orson states that Benedict is probably an unrecorded son of Robert. Benedict left a will 1 July 1628 (it is fallen to pieces). Edward Martin thinks that he was probably the son of Wearne Treloarth. Family reconstructed from church records only. Here is shown the name Benedict changing to Bennet, which is an extremely common Cornish, name and is practically always spelled with one t. All the children baptised at Wendron and the father named as Benedict. Benedict married Johanna THOMAS on 22 Jan 1605 in Wendron, CON. Johanna or Jane, widow of Bennet, was the Executrix of her husband's will, her brothers John and Wearne THOMAS were named as overseers. The inventory of the will totalled 86 Pounds. Jane, widow, conventionary tenant (by surrender of Henry Leonard) of the village of Trelowarth, held of the manor of Helston, 1649/50. Children from this marriage were: i. 0024: Thomas TRELOAR, was born in 1606 in Wendron, CON, died in Apr 1606, and was buried on 16 Apr 1606 in Wendron, CON. He was baptized on 10 Apr 1606 in Wendron. ii. 0025: Henry TRELOAR, was born in 1607 in Wendron, CON and was buried on 18 Jun 1608 in Wendron, CON. He was baptized on 7 Dec 1607 in Wendron, CON. iii. 0026: Mary TRELOAR, born 1609 in Wendron, CON and was buried 9 May 1614 in Wendron, CON. She was baptized 12 Feb 1609 in Wendron, CON. May have been named Maria. iv. 0027: Mary TRELOAR, was born in 1616 in Wendron, CON. She was baptized on 8 Sep 1616 in Wendron, CON. Maria or Mary received 10 pounds in her father's will of 1628. She was taxed 4 shillings in the Poll Tax of 1660. Mary married Henry TRESOLL on 8 Feb 1647 in Wendron, CON.bp. 4 May 1616; Given £10 in her father's will. md. 8 Feb 1647 Henry TRESOLL. Taxed as 4s in the Poll Tax of Wendron 1660. v. 0028: Ralph TRELOAR, was born in 1618 in Wendron, CON, bp. 4 May 1618; d. 11 Dec. 1667; md. 4 July 1648 Wendron JANE SYMON. vi. 0029: Bennet TRELOAR, died on 1 Jul 1620 in Wendron, CON. vii. 0030: Grace TRELOAR, was born in 1622. She was baptized on 14 Jul 1622 in Wendron, CON. Given 10 Pounds in her father's will. Grace married Ralph JENKEN. Additional information supplied by Edward Martin |
