| We started with a John from Donegal County in Ireland. He moved to Canada with his young family sometime in the 1820s. The family grew
by leaps and bounds. There were eight children born in Ontario Canada and the Canadian Trelfords are offspring from these ten (two
from Ireland). Some of us were working on our Trelford genealogy separately when we discovered each other. I started this web site
so we could all collaborate and collect cousins around the world.
We have now collected cousins from Alberta, B.C., Ontario, England and Ireland. I noticed from the Mormon web site that there were a lot of
Trelfords living in England and contacted them. Then I looked up Trelfords in an Irish telephone directory and found the Irish Trelfords.
I was hopeful that we could add Australia to the list but was unable to find the fellow who posted the message.
