Miscellaneous KERR items from my grandmother's research materials
The following items are mostly photocopies of books about the Kerr family that were found in my grandmother's research notes. I hope to eventually transcribe these onto web pages so that they are searchable and printable, but have not been able to set aside the time to do so yet.
- Page 67 of Ontario Families by Chadwick (130k). This is the first page of the chapter on the Brant family. A Dr. Robert Kerr of Niagara is mentioned near the bottom of the page.
- First page of "Addenda and Corrigenda" from Ontario Families by Chadwick (113k). This has a paragraph with another mention of Dr. Robert Kerr.
- First page of The Kerr Family of Ballygoney (?) and His Descendants by Mary Alice (Kerr) Arbuckle (70.5k). I believe, but am not certain, that the following four scans are also from this book. UPDATE: A correspondent who owns a copy of "The Kerr Family of Ballygoney" informs me that the information below is not from that book.
- Chapter XI (this may be "Volume XI"): "The Kerr Family of New York". This chapter appears to list the descendants of Robert Kerr (b. Ireland - d. 1836) and Mary Buchanan. The latest event date mentioned is 1930, and since people born in the 1850s and 1860s are mentioned as living, this book was possibly published sometime in the 1930s. I hope to get these transcribed eventually, so that they're searchable and don't take quite so long to load.
- A French site for the Clan Kerr. I have not yet determined how these folks link up to my Kerrs, but will probably figure it out eventually. ;-)
