... home wedding ... place at 91 Forfar Street, Montreal Wednesday evening Oct. 2, when Lillian M., only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Triebel was united in marriage to Rev. Irving A. McKelvey of Stratford, Ont.

The bride was handsomely gowned in cream nun's veiling and carried pink roses.  Rev. H. Stillman acted as groomsman.  The house was beautifully decorated with potted plants and white and pink asters.  The groom's present to the bride was a handsome ring set with opals and diamonds and an ostrich feather boa.  The gift to the bridesmaid was a heart shaped pearl pin.  The bride received a large number of presents, including gold and silver, glass and dresden china, also several pieces of fancy work.  A reception was held until 10 p.m. when the happy couple left for Lorento to visit his people, amid showers of rice.  The bride's travelling gown was castor cloth and blue silk tucked waist and a hat to match.  At the station a large number of students, class mates of the groom, assembled to extend their hearty congratulations to the happy couple and shower them with rice and old shoes.
