Mrs. Sara P. Simmons Dies in Rhinebeck

Mrs. Sara Parker Simmons, 87, widow of Isaac Simmons, died in the Northern Dutchess Health Center from injuries received last Sunday when she fell in the home of Emory Wiley of Rhinebeck, where she had been housekeeper for a number of years. Born in Pine Plains, Mrs. Simmons had spent practically all her life in this vicinity.
Her only child, Parker Simmons, died some time ago and Earl Simmons, her grandson, died after receiving injuries when he fell off the roof of the Patchin home at the time of its erection.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cornell-Cornelius funeral home in Rhinebeck at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Pine Plains.
