Funeral for Mrs. W. Bowman Sunday

Mae Sadler Bowman, wife of Wilber J. Bowman, died at her home Wednesday, Sept. 11th after a long illness.  A daughter of the late William and Eva Aston Sadler, she was born in Highland Mills March 5, 1875.  Her family moved to Pine Plains when she was a young girl and she has since resided here.  She married Mr. Bowman June 14, 1898.

Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Church of the Regeneration, a charter member of Pine Plains Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and it's first Worthy Matron.  She was a life member of the Pine Plains Garden Club and had served as chairman of the Pine Plains Chapter of the National Red Cross for 27 years.

Surviving are a son, Dr. Ralph Bowman, three grandchildren, the Misses Marion and Barbara, and David Bowman, of Pine Plains; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Thompson and Mrs. Dwight Travis of Danbury, Conn.; three brothers, Edward Sadler of Pine Plains; Frederick Sadler of Glen Ridge, N. J., and William Sadler, of Tarrytown.

Funeral services will be held from the late home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Wm. Rice of the Church of the Regeneration, officiating.  Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery and Pine Plains Chapter, O. E. S. will hold services at the grave.

Funeral director is Frank S. Roberts, of Pine Plains.
