MRS. J. D. BOWMAN DIED FRIDAY, AUG. 8

Mrs. Jennie Duncan Bowman, widow of Walter D. Bowman, died Friday, August 8, in the Sharon Hospital, Sharon, Conn., after a brief illness.  She had been a resident of Wassaic over fifty years and the Bowmans were former residents of Stanford.  Mrs. Bowman was 83 and was born in the town of Washington, a daughter of the late Ephriam and Emeline Duncan.  She was a member and past matron of the Eastern Star Chapter of Amenia.  Survivors are two sons, David and Isaac Bowman of Wassaic, and neices, Mrs. Harry Creamer of Lithgow, Mrs. Leona Bradley, Pine Plains and Mrs. Angeline R. Houston of Poughkeepsie.  The funeral services were held on Monday from the Presbyterian church in Amenia and burial was in the Nine Partners Cemetery in Millbrook under the direction of the Nelligan Funeral Home.
