Mrs. Charles Martin Passes Away Sunday

Minnie W. Martin, 59, a wife of Charles E. Martin of Lafayetteville, died at her home Sunday afternoon after an illness of about three years duration.

Mrs. Martin was born in New York City, July 28, 1874, a daughter of Sophie Fieler Wieghmann and the late Henry Wieghmann.  She had lived in Rhinebeck for some time before moving to Lafayetteville 10 years ago, and while a resident of Rhinebeck was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Stone church there.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband; her mother, who lives in New York City; a brother, Dr. W. Wieghmann of New York; nine daughters, Mrs. E. Perry of Scotia, Mrs. Stephen Prentia of LaGrangeville, Mrs. John Rotenia of Madalin, Mrs. Edward Carle, Mrs. Edward Lifer of Red Hook, Mrs. Edward Bowman of Stanfordville, Mildred, Dorothy, and Eleanor of Lafayetteville; six sons, Charles of Poughkeepsie, Walter of Red Hook, Ralph, Harold, Robert, and Royal of Lafayette; also twenty grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the home at 1:30 d.s.t. yesterday afternoon and from the Lutheran Stone church, Rhinebeck, at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Sherwood, pastor.  Interment was in the Lutheran Stone church cemetery, in charge of the Frank S. Roberts and Sons of Pine Plains.  The bearers were J. D. McPhee, John Ronner, Harrison Simmons, Kenneth Stickles, Millard Coons and Charles Pulver, all of the town of Milan.

Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family by all who were acquainted with Mrs. Martin.
