Approximately 100 attended the annual reunion of the Bowman family, held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Fowler, Millbrook, recently at Clinton Corners. Luncheon was served on the lawn. A program of entertainment was arranged by Mrs. Wendell Fowler, of Millbrook, and Clara Rymph, of Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Jane Bowman, who will celebrate her 95th birthday, was elected honorary president; Wilbur Bowman, vice-president, and Virgil Fowler, secretary. Mrs. Rose Myers, retiring president, conducted a short business session.
The program, which include musical numbers opened with group singing led by Mrs. Gladys Joslin, followed by piano selections by George Bowman; vocal solo by Mrs. Gladys Joslin; recitations by Beulah Budd and Edward Bowman Jr.; vocal duets by Robert and Edward Bowman Jr.; a recitation, "Bachelor's Dream", by Virgil Bowman and a pantomime "Bachelor's Reverie", with those taking part including Virgil Fowler, reader; George Bowman, pianist, Mrs. Franklin Friebel (sic. - surname should be Triebel), Malcolm Simmons, Mrs. Edward Bowman, Irene Fowler, Beatrice Goerke, Mrs. Donald Bradley, Mrs. Eugene Sherow, Viola Campbell, Mrs. Wedell Fowler, Adelaide Byrne, and Muriel DuBois, who portrayed the part of the bride and wore the wedding veil and orange blossoms worn by Mrs. Rose Myers, 43 years ago.
