Group 4, page 3
Most of the cards on this page did not have postmarks on them, but some did have hand written dates. Due to the shape of these photos, several of them had quite a bit of empty space at the top or bottom. I cropped these photos to reduce file size and so that the faces would show up bigger.
"Melvin Richard Ommen, 5 mo. old" This baby's face reminds me of Victor Buono.
"Fred Pepper, Sept - 5 - 1911". Photographer is given as "Cornell Studios" with three addresses: 95 Woodward Ave. and 81 Woodward Ave., both in Detroit; and 321 Adams St., Toledo.
Buler (sic.) Stancil or Stuncil (her first name was probably "Beulah"), Della Bowen, Mallie Cenler? Message reads: "Always remember the 16 of October 19?? spent the night with Miss Buelah Stuncil" In the lower right corner are two more attempts to figure out the spelling of the first lady's given name -- "Beaulah" and "Bualah" .
Claude Strichler or Strickler. Photographer information given as "Buttorff's Studio, 23 S. George Street over Drovers & Mechanics Bank, York, Pa."
Wilmot Tice. This is apparently a man dressed as a pioneer woman. The photo is not very good quality and I had trouble getting it to look anywhere near presentable. The sending cancellation on the back reads "12 - M, Jan. 26, 1909, Battle Creek, Mich." The receiving cancellation on the front reads "12 - 30 P, Jan. 27, 1909, Morgantown, W. Va." The card is addressed to "Ernest G. Devroye, 106 Austin St., Morgantown, W. Va." The message reads as follows:"What do you think of me as a girl. Do not know if I sent you one of these or not. Am wearing glasses now. What wreck was that and where. Hope to here (sic.) from soon. Your ????? Wilmot Tice."
"A present from John S. Turner to Clara Todd."
