Groups 2 and 3
Most of the cards on this page did not have postmarks on them, but some did have hand written dates. Due to the shape of these photos, several of them had quite a bit of empty space at the top or bottom. I cropped these photos to reduce file size and so that the faces would show up bigger.
Ball family? This photo is very foggy and most of the people in the back are out of focus. I was able to fix the contrast a little, but it will take quite a bit of fiddling to get good results from it. The card is addressed to Mr. Floyd Ball, 810 West Pine St., Independence, Kansas. If it was sent to Mr. Ball by a sister, it will be difficult to determine the name of the family in the photo. The message on the back of the card reads:"Dear Brother I will send you a picture we had taken the 22 of Oct. Is it very cold there now and do you go very much in yours chair or is it to (sic.) cold. Roll over and see me some day. Bye bye now."
Pawline Bernice? Adams. Postmarked 6:00 P.M., April 30, 1909, Lebanon, Kans. Addressed to Mrs. Emily Hadden, Smith Center, Kans.
Carson children? "Sept. 1910, Irene Elizabeth 4 yrs, Homer Russel Carson 2+ years" I am not sure from the writing on the back whether the children's surname is Carson or whether Homer just has two middle names.
"Aunt Emma which one of my pictures do you like best. Charles Eugene Ennis."
"We tell him about his Aunt "Shin" every day. Sister is a regular fool over him. And he knows her too."
