St James Church about 1808 Christopher Yockey of the Reformed Church gave a lot of ground on which the present church stands.  The deed for it was given December 15, 1815.  The first pastor was the Rev John William Weber who came about 1808.  The contract for the present brick church was let on the 9th of April 1838, and the dedication most probably took place the same year.  Near Perrysville, PA.  At one time this church like many early Pennsylvania churches was a combination of Reformed and Lutheran congregation.
