Introduction
|
||||||||||||
|
During our research we
have assembled a wide variety of documents, photographs, maps, letters, and
newspaper articles that pertain to the lives of our ancestors and their
families. We have archived many of
them, in image formats, at this website for two primary reasons. First, we believe in citing sources for
all information contained within each of our three databases located at
Rootsweb.com. As such we want to
share with you many of the documents that serve as the sources of our
citations. Second, we feel that many
of our photo portraits, maps, letters, etc., tend to provide additional
information which may aid in understanding the ‘rich content’ of our
ancestor’s past lives. While “rich content” cannot replace vital
records, it can add depth to a family history. Photographs, paintings, music, and newspaper articles can
illustrate family stories and bring family history alive for current and
future generations despite their being further removed from the eras in which
our ancestors lived.
You are welcome to download any of the images contained within our
archives. Should you encounter a
