June 27, 1913 - June 26, 1999 DOWAGIAC - Katherine E. Griggs, 85, of Heartland Health Care Center, Three Rivers, formerly of Dowagiac, died Saturday in the center.
Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Leed of Bremen; four sons, Clifford P. of Decatur and James P., Ernest W. and Jack F., all of Dowagiac; three sisters, Dorothy Robison and Velma Campbell, both of Osceola, and Florence Griggs of Elkhart; and a brother, Charles MacCormick of Ardmore, Tenn. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Glenwood Seventh-day Adventist Church. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McLauchlin-Clark Funeral Home, and one hour before services Wednesday in the church.

June 27, 1913 - June 26, 1999 Katherine E. Griggs, 85, formerly of Dowagiac, Mich., died on Saturday evening, June 26, at the Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers, Mich. She was born on June 27, 1913, in Elkmont, Ala., to Ernest and Lena MacCormick. Katherine married Albert E.
Griggs on Dec. 8, 1929, in Ardmore, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Griggs on April 8, 1990; her son, Buford
"Boots" Griggs in 1935; her parents, Ernest C. and Lena (Knasel) MacCormick; and by three brothers, David MacCormick, George MacCormick and Bobby MacCormick. She was a member of the Glenwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Dowagiac. Katherine is survived by a daughter, Mildred (Gary) Leed of Bremen, Ind.; four sons, Clifford P. (Joy) Griggs of Decatur, Mich., and James P. (Sharon) Griggs, Ernest W. (Sally) Griggs and Jack F. (Donna) Griggs, all of Dowagiac, Mich.; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Robison and Velma Campbell, both of Osceola, Ind., and Florence Griggs of Elkhart, Ind.; and by a brother, Charles MacCormick of Ardmore, Tenn. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at the Glenwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church, with Rev. Albert Parker officiating, Pastor Chris Ames assisting. Burial will follow in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home, and from 1 p.m. to the time of services at the church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

WORCESTER - Dorothy E. (MacDonald) Davies, formerly of Worcester, died Saturday in Beaumont Nursing Center, Westboro, after an illness.
Her husband, Dr. Clinton L. Davies, died some years ago. She leaves two sons, J. Clinton Davies of Dallas and Benjamin N. Davies of Delran, N.J.; two daughters, Eleanor D. Bowden of Southport, Maine, and Barbara D. Ramsdell of Southboro; a sister, Christine M.
Rice of Woburn; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was born in Vinalhaven, Maine, daughter of James Augustus and Catharine
(MacCormick) MacDonald, and lived here many years. She graduated from North Haven High School in Maine and Forsyth Institute of Dental Hygiene in Boston.
Mrs. Davies was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
A private memorial Mass will be held tomorrow in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Southboro. There are no calling hours. Please omit flowers.

Sandra McCormick, 63, of Naples, passed away Saturday, October 30, 1999. She was a life-long resident of Naples. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who also enjoyed working as a cashier at Home Depot for many years. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Harvey of Naples; two sons, Ronnie Farrabee of Ft. Myers and David Ray McCormick of Naples; her daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Stephen Thorpe of Naples; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bud Daniels; her grandson, Stephen Thorpe II, all of Naples; and many special friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, (TODAY), November 3, 1999 at Hodges Funeral Chapel, 3520 Tamiami Trail North at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Fletcher, officiating. Karl H. ""Charlie'' Scheid Karl H. ""Charlie'' Scheid, 51, of Bonita Springs, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 16, 2000. Born in Germany he moved to the area in 1982. Charlie was the former owner of Bonita Interlocking Systems. He was a member of the Bonita Moose Lodge. He will be remembered as a true craftsman and for his love of fishing. Mr. Scheid is survived by his loving wife, Frances; two step-sons, Roy S. (Patricia) mccormick of Williston, Fla. and Morris (Karen) McCormick of Bonita Springs; step-daughter, Christine (Clay) Wilson of Bonita Springs; sister, Margo Ebert of Germany; eight step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
