LeeAnne200@aol.com  -   Neil McCormick, no wife known, born c1765 somewhere in Scotland, died c1845 in Pike Co, Al. Left Scotland c1810, arrived at Cape Fear, NC, settled in SC till c1835 then on to Alabama. Brought at least 1 son from Scotland, Angus born c 1800, he married Elizabeth Duke in Darlington, SC c1825. They had at least 1 child, Sarah Jane, born 2 Mar 1829. Elizabeth Duke died soon after. Angus' 2nd wife, Rachel Morrison, married c1833, they had at least 10 children. Rachel died 8 Jul 1862. Angus and Rachel buried in Elam Church Cem. in Pike Co, Alabama.

suebob68@redoak.heartland.net - I am researching my gr, gr, gr grandfather, James McCormick. He was born in Northern Ireland in about 1762, came to US with his parents as a young man. He served in the Revoluntary War in 1781-1782. He married Sarah ( Cain? ) in about 1785. Children were: Jane, Mary Polly, James, John and Jonathan ( mine ). Cannot get beyond James. He is buried in PA ( Allegheny Co. ).

My husband descends from a Millie McCormick the second wife of Jordan Smith, a War of 1812 veteran who was born in Buckingham Co. Virginia ca. 1785. Millie died in July, 1840 in Virginia or in today's West Virginia. I have clues to her parents but have not documented them as yet. Billie in Florida who is interested in any help on Millie.

yblaine@uswest.net  - My father was John Elliott McCormick who was born in Coffeeville, Kansas in 1912. His father was Charles McCormick whose father was William Frank McCormick, who died in 1923 and is buried in Converse City Cemetery in Miami County, Indiana. His wife was Jesse Elliott who died in 1907 and is buried in the same cemetery. That's all the information I have except that William Frank's father was William and was supposedly from Indiana also. I have been searching for information on them for years and have just recently gotten some death and birth dates on William Frank and Jessie. It would be great to connect with someone who is doing research on that line or would know about that family.


dorislg@home.com - I am looking for a Samuel McCormick who was married to a Grizel/Grisel.......around 1770. She may be a Rhea because a Mr. Rhea was a guardian for one of the girls at her wedding. Their daughters marriage records in Rockbridge County, VA mention the widow Grisel McCormick. He may have come from PA also and I think he was in the Rev War mustering from PA...
