Thanks Page

There are many fine folks for whom this site would not exist.  No greater thanks is owed perhaps than to Paul Zebe, my second cousin on my father's side.  Not only has he been the one most responsible for finding our Canote roots.  But he has managed to keep alive the memory of my grandparents John Edward (whom I only knew one year as a baby) and others. Also, I wish to thank my third cousin Cindy Horracce and Dorothy Dodd for their help on the Dodd and Solsbee lines.

On my mother's side, perhaps no one has done more work than Sandy Kimble.  Her research on our Towles line led to a feeling of pride for my mother in her later years, and she died knowing she was really someone. Sandy's research was based on that of the late Nora Toombs.  And much thanks is owed her for her early efforts on our lines.  Nora was one of the few folks related to me on both my mother's side and father's side through marriage.  I still remember the advice she gave my brother and I in her last years on starting out in life. She said to take a year off and see the world, enjoy yourself.  Wise words from a wise woman. There are many other Towles researchers who have been very helpful in my compiling this data. John Morris, Keith Midgette, Elizabeth Towles, Diane Cukro... I owe all of you a debt of graditude. Finally, I wish to thank the Ball, Porteous, Sheeks, and Shirley families for having their databses available. Without those I would not know of my families' famous relations.
