I would be very happy to conduct research for you at the Northamptonshire Record Office, whether this be your genealogy or your house.
A qualified librarian, I have over 40 years experience as a researcher (I started young!). I have worked in a local history library, and researched for many years at the Northamptonshire Record Office.
Northamptonshire Record Office has many sources for family history which internet research will not access – Wills, poor law records (including the Workhouses), estate records, marriage licenses, Militia lists, to name but a few. I am happy to undertake all kinds of enquiries, from checking entries in parish registers to full scale family histories. I can read old documents for you, giving you a complete transcript or a summary. While I obviously know the Towcester area very well, my commissions have seen me researching in many other areas of the county – Wellingborough, Rushden, Walgrave, among others.
I try to leave you in as much control as possible of the research.
I accept PayPal, and sterling cheques. Please e-mail me for details of current charges, I am not expensive!
