In the name of God - Amen
I William McFarlin, of the county of Rutherford and state of Tennessee, being in my perfect senses,
of a sound mind and disposing memory, do make this my ordained last will and testament in manner and form
following, to wit, I lend to my beloved wife Sarah McFarlin all my estate real & personal during her natural
life or widowhood, what is hereafter described and disposed of; I leave my tract of land of one hundred
and seven acres joining Wiliam Gowen to be sold by my executors at a twelve months credit and the price of
it with what money is now due me, after paying all just claims against me to be put to interest until my
children become of age, and each son and daughter, I give an equal share of it, as they become of age; and
I give to my two sons Pleasant Nelson and Benjamin, my negro boy Austin and my negro woman Nelly and increase,
to be equally divided between them, and the said negro boy to be brought home at my death and the said negro
girl Nelly to be brought home at my mothers death; and my tract of land whereon I now live, I give in equal
share to my two sons Pleasant Nelson and Benjamin; and be it understood that my beloved wife is to have the
