Bofat Cemetery

Across the street from the Bofat Cemetery, Karen Weeks found the two tombstones pictured below.

This a note from Karen Weeks in January of 2007:

I also wanted to let you know of two tombstones that you might find a place for in your website.  I found them while researching the Ernest Weeks house in Chesterfield, which is right across from Bofat cemetery.  Ernest Weeks was a distant "cousin" and lived in the large house across the street. I was introduced to its present owners by Charlie Bisbee.  (I believe the house used to be known as Pierce's Tavern). The owners were kind enough to allow me to tour the house and around behind the barn, I found these two tombstones.   After looking at your website, I see that a larger marker for both Mary and Philena Damon is in Bofat.  Perhaps the two smaller ones were removed to put in the bigger one, or perhaps they broke, but somehow found their way across the street many moons ago.  I thought it might be of some interest to you anyway.
