The North East Quarter of the North East quarter of Section Twenty Seven in Township One of Range Twelve North and East, containing forty acres more or less as the case may be situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid together with and singular the right members and appertenance to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining; also all the right title Interest and Estate Claim and demen? "South East Quarter of the North West Quarter. the North half of the South West Quarter, and the North West Quarter of the South East Quarter of Section Twenty One in the Tounship One North of Range Thirteen East in the District of Lands Subject to Sale at Tallahassee Florida containing One Hundred and Fiftynine acres and Ninetyfour hundredths of an acre." - 1852 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, James and MIMS, Mary, his wife - 24 August 1852 - Hamilton Co. FL Deed Bk. D, Page 192 - State of Florida, Hamilton Co.) This Indenture made this the twenty fourth day of August Eighteen Hundred and fifty two between James MIMS and Mary MIMS, his wife of the first part and John PADGETT of the other part - Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and delivered unto the party of the second part a certain lot or tract of Land in the County and State aforesaid known as the N E Quarter of the N E Quarter of Section Twenty Seven in Township One of Range Twelve East in the District of Land subject to sale at Tallahassee containing Forty Acres and the party of the first part for themselves there heirs executors and administrators will warrant and defend the same unto the party of the second part and from all other persons lawfully claiming forever. Whereas James MIMS of Hamilton Co., FL has deposited in the General Land Office of the United States a certificate of the Register of the Land Office at Tallahassee whereby it appears that full payment has been made by the said James MIMS ACCORDING TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE Act of Congress of the 24th day of April 1820 entitled "An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands", for the South half of Lot number Two of Section Seventeen in Township One, North of Range Thirteen East in the District of Lands subject to sale at Tallahassee, Florida, containing Thirty-nine acres and eighty eight hundredths of an acre according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands, returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General, which said tract has been purchased by the said James MIMS.
Now, know ye, that the USA in consideration of the premises, and in conformity with the several Acts of Congress in such case made and provided, have Given, Granted, and by these presents do give and Grant unto the Said James MIMS and to his heirs, the said tract above described; to have and to hold the same, together with all the rights, priveleges, immunities and appurtenances, of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging unto the said James MIMMS and to his heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony Whereof, I, Milliard FILLMORE President of the USA have caused these letters to be made Patent and the seal of the General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.
