1887 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, Thadeas -12 August 1887 - Suwannee Co., FL - (admx. property of James MIMS, Jr.- Deed Book "T" Page 371 - This indenture made this the 12th day of August AD 1887. Between W.S. HAWLEY commissioner as hereinafter set forth party of the first part and Jasper HART party of the second part.
Whereas Thadeas MIMS administrator of the estate of James MIMS (Jr.) late of Suwannee County deceased presented a petition to the County Judge of the County of Suwannee and State of Florida Sitting as Judge of Probate for the sale of the lands belonging to the estate of the said James MIMS deceased lying and being in said County of Suwannee State of Florida for distribution among the heirs at law and distributees of said estate and whereas the said Judge of said County court appointed J.C. SMALL commissioner to make said sale according to said order and the course and practice of said count.
And the said J.C. SMALL commissioner as aforesaid having made said sale as ordered by said court on a legal sale day towit on the 7th day of February AD 1897 and reported the same to said court on the 15th day of Feb 1887 (comp.note: looks like 1897, 9 changed to 8) and no proceedings having been had in reference to said sale until the 11th day of August 1887 at which time the heirs of said estate of James MIMS being in court it was agreed by said heirs in open court and so ordered by the Judge thereof that said sale be confirmed made by said Commissioner J.C.SMALL and further ordered that the party of the first part be appointed commissioner to carry into effect said sale and further order of said court and that by said order so made as aforesaid the party of the first part was ordered to convey a certain piece or parcel of said land to the party of the second part in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars which land is hereinafter described the same being the distributive share of the party of the second part in the lands and estate of James MIMS deceased at the valuation of said sum of money.
Now therefore this indenture witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty ($30.00 dollars to him in hand paid and in order to carry into effect the order of said court the said party of the first part commissioner as aforesaid has bargained and sold and by these presents does bargain sell and convey into the said Jasper HART and to his heirs and assigns forever the following described land lying and being in said County of Suwannee and State of Florida and more particularly described and known as the North East Quarter of the South East quarter of Section 8 in Township Three (3) South of Range Twelve (12) East 40 acres of land more or less, to him and his heirs and assigns forever together with all and singular the tenements here detainment and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining with the right title and interest which belonged or appertained to the said James MIMS in his lifetime to have and to hold the said lands to him and his heirs forever. - 1887 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, Thadeus - 5 October 1887 - Suwannee Co., FL Deed Book M Page 90 - This Indenture made this the Fifth day of October AD 1887 by and between W.S. HAMBY Commissioner as hereinafter set forth party of the first part and Eliza BROWN party of the second part, whereas Thadeus MIMS Administrator of the estate of James MIMS Late of Suwannee County State of Florida, deceased, presented a petition to the County Judge of the County of Suwannee State of Florida, setting as Judge of Probate, for the sale of lands belonging to the estate of the said James MIMS deceased, lying and being in said County of Suwannee State of Florida for distribution of the estate, and whereas the said County Judge of said County cou---appointed J.C. SMALL Commissioner to make said sale according to said order and the course and practice of said court. And the said J.C. SMALL Commissioner as aforesaid having made said sale as ordered bef--- said court, on a legal sale day to wit: on the 7th day of February AD 1887, and reported the same to said court on the 15th day of February 1887, and no proceedings having been had in reference to report, and whereas by a subsequent order of said court dated on the 6th day of June 1887, by which order it was referred to the party of the first part commissioner as aforesaid to make execute and deliver a Deed of Conveyance in the usual form at Commissioners Deeds to the several parties in said order mentioned, the consideration mentioned being the sum of Twenty 40/100 Dollars as the price of said land and the valuation of this distributive share of the said Eliza BROWN in the said lands of said James MIMS, deceased.
Now Therefore This Indenture Witnesseth that the said party of the first part commissioner as aforesaid in order to carry into effect the several orders of said court and in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Florida in such cases made and provided and in consideration of said sum of money to wit: the sum of Twenty 40/100 Dollars duly paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargained and sold and by these presents does bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever, the following described lands lying and being in said county of Suwannee State of Florida and known and described in the United States survey as The North East quarter of the South East quarter and also the North West quarter of the South East quarter, except Sixteen (16) acres on the north side of --------___ same, and the North East quarter of the South West quarter, except sixteen acres on the North side of _____ same, and Sixteen acres on the North side of the South East quarter of the South West quarter al___ of said pieces of land in Section Nine (9) Township Three South of Range Twelve East, containing by estimation one hundred and four acres of land more or less, Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining.
To have and To Hold the said above described lands unto the said Eliza BROWN party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony whereof I the said party of the first part commissioner as aforesaid have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written - William S. - 1887 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, (Mrs) Rebecca SESSIONS - 22 December 1887 - Suwannee Co., FL - Deed Book 8, Page 473 - This Indenture made and entered into this 22nd day of Dec in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and eighty seven between Mrs. Rebecca (MIMS)SESSIONS, wife of E.C. SESSIONS, Mrs. Martha (MIMS) SESSIONS wife of A.M.R. SESSIONS and heirs at law of James MIMS deceased and a Bond Agent and Atty of the heirs of James MIMS deceased of the first part and Jasper HART of the second part all of said County and State Wittnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars cash in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby adknowledged hath granted bargain sold and delivered the said Jasper HART their entire undivided interest in the West half of South West Quarter and the South West Quarter of North West Quarter of Section Nine Township Three Range twelve South and East containing by estimation one hundred and twenty acres more or less to have and to hold said land aforesaid described to him his heirs and assigns with all the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging and said heirs and attorney of the first part for themselves their heirs and assigns to the extent of their interest and lawful authority to warrant and defend the title and right to the party of the second part forever and in fee simple and to his heirs and assigns the aforesaid described premises.
In witness whereof said parties of the first part hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the date aforesaid - Martha Jane SESSIONS (seal), Rebecca (her x mark) SESSIONS (seal), A.M.R. In person appeared before me Rebecca SESSIONS, wife of E.C. SESSIONS, Mrs. Martha SESSIONS, wife of A.M.R. SESSIONS, persons to me well known and who acknowledged that they made the deed aforesaid described for the purposes therein expressed and on an examination taken and made separately and apart from their said husbands acknowledged that they signed the deed for the purposes of making a valid conveyance and for the purpose of relinquishing their right of dower and they did so without fear or restraint of or from their husbands.
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Martha J. SESSIONS (seal), Rebecca (her x mark) SESSIONS (seal).
In person appeared before me E.C. SESSIONS, A.M.R. SESSIONS and Sanford BONDBond Atty and Agent aforesaid who acknowledged that they made themselves a party to the Deed of Conveyance aforesaid described and acknowledged that they signed the same for the purposes therein expressed wherefore Record is prayed, acknowledged and signed before me this Twenty sixth day of December A.D. 1887. - 1888 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, (Mrs) Mary MESSER - 24 February 1888 - Suwannee County, FL Deed Book N Page 566 - This Indenture made the 24th day of Feb A.D. 1888 by and between W.S. HAMBY, Commissioner as hereinafter set forth party of the first ______ and Mary MESSER party of the second part Whereas heretofore to wit: on the 7th day of Oct. A.D. 1887 certain lands belonging to the ______ of James MIMS deceased were sold at pub___ ___cry (public outcry) at the front door of the courthouse _________ town of Live Oak County of Suwannee, State of Florida by J.C. SMALL Commissioner ________ by order of the Judge of the County ______ for Suwannee County Florida sitting as (judge of) Probate upon the petition of Thadeus MIMS Administrator of said estate for distribution ______ heirs of said estate and al _______ of said land was struck off and the party of the second part at said sale (some may be missing here) sum of One hundred and eighteen Dollars, and whereas to wit on the 26th day of July AD 1889 by an order of said court the __part of the sale of said land made by said commissioned as aforesaid was duly approved by said Court and all things confirmed and by said order the said W.S. HAMBY party of the first part to these presents was appointed to make execute and deliver to said purchaser a deed of conveyance of in and to said land in the usual form of commissioners deeds.
Now Therefore this Indenture witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of said sum of money so bid as aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and in order to carry into effect said several orders of said court and pursuant to the statute in such cases made and provided has bargained and sold and by these presents does bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and to her heirs and assigns lands so purchased as aforesaid and described the U.S. Survey as the S ½ of the SE ¼ and the _______ of SW ¼ except sixteen acres on North side of _______ same of Sect. Nine (9) Township Three (3) South ___ Range Twelve (12) East containing 104 acres (more or less) the E ½ of the S E ¼ and the N W ¼ OF THE _____ of Section 33 Township Two (2) South of _____ (12) East 120 acres more or less.

- 1889 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, Margaret - 11 Jan 1889 - Suwannee Co., FL - Deed Book "Q", Page 243 - This Indenture made the Eleventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty nine, Between Margaret MIMS of Suwannee County and State of Florida party of the first part, and Willie MIMS of the County of Suwannee and State of Florida party of the second part:
Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifteen and 00/100 Dollars, lawful money of the US of A, to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have remised released and quit-claimed and by these presents do remise release and quit-claim unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all the right title interest and claim of the said party of the first part in and to the following lots, pieces or parcels of land, described as follows: N ½ of N W ¼ and 24 acres on the West side of N W ¼ of N E ¼ in Section 9 Township Three (3) South. Range 12 East, containing 104 acres more or less, and situate in Suwannee County….(balance not copied)

Lyle) MIMS and Sarah (MIMS) WATSON - Suwannee County, FL - Deed Book 8, Page 474 - This indenture, made the fourth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty Nine between Willie (Wm. Lyle) MIMS and Sarah (MIMS) WATSON and her husband W.C. WATSON of the County of Suwannee and Taylor respectively and State of Florida parties of the first part, and Jasper HART of the county of Suwannee and State of Florida party of the second part. Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States of America, to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have remised, released and quit-claimed, and by these presents do remise, release and quit-claim unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all the right, title interest and claim of the said parties of the first part in and to the following lots, pieces or parcels of land, described as follows: The W1/2 of S W ¼ and S W ¼ of N W ¼ of Section Nine (9) in Township Three (3) South of Range Twelve (12) East containing 120 acres, more or less situate in Suwannee County State of Florida. Together with all and singular the tenements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining; and every interest therin, legal or equitable, of the said parties of the first part of, in and to the said premised, with the appurtenances. To have and to hold the above described permises, unto the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns forever. State of Florida, County of Suwannee - I hereby certify that on this Fourth day of February 1889 before me a Notary Public for the State at Large personally appeared Willie MIMS and Sarah A. WATSON, the wife of the said W.C. WATSON on examination taken and made separately and apart from her said husband, did acknowledge that she made herself a party to the said deed, for the purpose of renouncing and relinquishing her dower, or right of dower and estate, title and interest in and to the lands, tenements and hereditaments therein described, and thereby granted and released, and that she executed said deed freely and without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.
