- 1872 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, Mary (O'STEEN) - 5 August 1872 - Suwannee Co., FL - Deed Book "D" Page 41, 42 - (top lines are missing)….the County of Suwannee. at Public Auction at Live Oak in the said County of Suwannee on the 5th day of August in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Two. for the non-payment of the taxes levied and assessed thereon for the year One Thousand Eight Hunderd and Seventy One, and which remained unpaid on the day of such --ls, together with the Costs and charges due therewith the following described pieces or parcels was sold to Mary MIMS who was the best bidder therefor for the following mentioned sum of to wit: NE ¼ and SE ¼ and E ½ of SW ¼ and E ½ of NW ¼ and NW ¼ of NW ¼ Sect 9 T 3 Range 12 S and E 520 acres.
Seventeen Dollars and Seventy Four Cents which such sum was the whole amount of taxes due and unpaid on said tract of Land for the year aforesaid, together with the interest and costs due thereon, and the charges of such sale and has been paid by the said Mary MIMS to the said George W. ALLEN, Collector of Revenue aforesaid.
Now therefore know all men by there presents That the State of Florida in consideration of the sum of money aforesaid and the premises and in conformity with Law both and doth hereby give grant and convey the tract of land above described together with the hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Mary MIMS, her heirs and assigns and to their sole use and benefit forever.
In testimony whereof I, M. L. STEBBINS. County Clerk of Suwannee County have executed the deed persuant to and in virtue of the authority invisted by law and for and on behalf of said State and hereunto subscribes my name officially and affixed the Seal of the County Court of the said County of Suwannee this 19th day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Seventy Four. - 1875 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - MIMS, James (Jr.) - 30 Jan 1875 - Suwannee Co., FL - Book D, Page 453 - Know all men by these presents that James MIMS of the County of Suwannee and State of Florida for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars to me paid by John ROBINSON & Rufus ROBBINSON of the County of Suwannee and State of Florida the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge do by these presents give grant bargain sell and sonvey with the said John ROBBINSON and Rufus ROBINSON or their heirs and assigns all that certain parcel of Land Situated lying and being in the County of Suywannee and State of Florida to-wit
the East half of the South East quarter of the West half of the North East quarter, the North West quarter the West half of the South West quarter the North West Quarter of the South East quarter the North East quarter of the South West quarter Section 33 Township 2 Range 12 S & E containing 480 acres more or less together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said land in anywise appurtaining and belonging. Witnesseth That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Five dollars lawful money of the United States of America to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold alined remised released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does grant bargain sell alien remise release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever all and singular that tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the State of Florida and County of Suwannee to wit:
the N.E. ¼ and S.E. ¼ and E ½ of S.W. ¼, and S.E. ¼ of N.W. ¼ of Sec 9 T 3 Range 12 S & E amounting to 440 acres. To have and to hold the above granted, bargained, and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to his own proper use, benefit and behoof forever. - 1882 (files of J.D.M., Sr.) - CLAYLAND CHURCH PROPERTY - 11 January 1882 - Suwannee Co., FL - Deed Book F, Page 103 - This indenture made and entered into by and between Thomas P. QUIET and Harriet (SMITH) QUIET, his wife of Taylor County, Florida parties of the first part and Wade H. LAMB and Jasper HART trustee for Clayland Baptist Church and their successors in office of the County of Suwannee and state aforesaid parties of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the love they have for the said Clayland Church the good of society and the glory of God have donated given granted and donated and by these presents do give grant donate and quitclaim to the said Trustees and their successors in office for the use benefit and behoof the said Clayland Baptist Church all their right title and claim in and to the following described lot of land with all its appurtenances to wit:
One square lot of land containing two acres of land lying in the N E corner of the S E ¼ of section (7) seven Township. Three (3) S of Range twelve (12) East lying and being in the county of Suwannee and State of Florida together with all and singular the rights tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging as well as all the estate title interest dower and right of dower of the said forty of the first part of in and to the same.
To Have and to hold the above described premises with the appurtenances so long as the aforesaid Clayland Baptist church continues to use the said lot or plat of land for a church house used for church purposes and no longer and it is further provided that should the said Clayland Baptist Church cease to use said lot or plat of land for church house and church purposes then at whatsoever time in the future that may be this deed of Gift shall be void and of no effect and the said lot or parcel of land herein described shall revert to and be restord to the grantors their heirs or assigns and be in all intent and purpose the estate in fee simple of the said grantors their heirs or assigns forever the same as though this deed of gift had never been made.

QUIET to me well known as the person described in and who executed the foregoing instrument and severaly acknowledged the execution thereof to be their free act and deed for the purposes therein named and the said Harret QUIET wife of the said Thomas P. QUIET on an examination taken and made separate and apart from her said husband did acknowledge that she made herself a party to the Deed herein for the purpose of renouncing and conveying and relinquishing all her right as well as rights of dower in and to the lands herein described and thereby relinquishment is made by her freely and voluntarily and without any constraint apprehension or fear of from her said husband. Deed No. 11835 - Know All Men by these Presents, That the undersigned, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, under an act of the General Assembly of said State entitled "An Act to Provide for and Encourage a Liberal System of Internal Improvements in this State" approved January 6 1855, for and in consideration of the the sum of One Dollar & twenty five cents per acre, to them in hand paid by James MIMS of the County of Suwannee, State of Florida, have granted, bargained and sold, and do by these presents grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said James MIMS and his heirs and assigns forever, the following described lands to-wit:
The North East quarter of the South East quarter of Section Eight in Township Three South of Range Twelve East, containing Thirty nine 99/100 acres, and lying and being in the county of Suwannee in said State of Florida; To Have and to Hold unto the said James MIMS and his heirs and assigns forever. In Testimony Whereof, The said Trustees have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals, and have caused the seal of "The Florida State Land Office" to be hereunto affixed, at the Capitol, in the City of Tallahassee, on this the Thirtieth day of January A.D. eighteen hundred and eighty three.

BASS of Taylor County and State aforesaid in the consideration of the sum of twenty-five dollars to me in hand paid and have acknowledged the receipt of same do hereby bargain sell grant and convey unto the said James MIMS, of the County of Taylor and State of Florida, his heirs and assigns one tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County and State aforesaid to-wit Southeast ¼ of the Northeast ¼ Section 10 Township 6, South of Range 6 East containing forty acres more or less, together with all and singular tenements hereditaments and appurtenances with every privilege right title interest and estate reversion remainder easement thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the above mentioned and described premises with the appurtenances in fee simple forever. And I the said Willis M. BASS for himself his heirs executors and administrators do hereby covenant with the said James MIMS his heirs executors administrators and assigns that said premises are the lawful estate of the said Willis M. BASSthat they are free of all encumbrances.

BASS To James MIMS, Page 202, 25 January 1884 - This Indenture made the twenty-fifth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundere and eighty-four (25 January 1884) between Willis M.R. BASS of the State of Florida and County of Taylor, and party of the first part, and James MIMS, of State and County aforesaid, party of the second part, WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid, by the said party of the second part, at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth and have granted bargained, sold aliened, remised, released, conveyed and confirmed by these presents do grant bargain sell alien, remise, release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part, and his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract or parcel of land in said State and County known and described as follows, to wit:
The Southeast, quarter of the northeast quarter of section Ten Township Six, South of Range Six East containing forty acres more or less, together with all and singular the rights tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest to and in said property possession claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said party of the first part of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances To have and to hold the above granted bargained and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof and the said Willis M.R. BASS, for himself his heirs executors administrators doth covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the said Willis M.R. BASS, at the time of the sealing and delivery of these presents was lawfully seized in fee simple of a good absolute and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple of in and all and singular the above granted bargained and described premises with the appurtenances and had good right and full power and lawful authority to grant bargain sell and convey the same, in the manner and form aforesaid. - And that the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns shall and may at all times hereinafter peaceable and quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the above granted premises and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances without any let suit trouble molestation eviction or disturbance of the said party of the first part his heirs or assigns or of any other person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same now are free clear discharged and unencumbered of and from all former and other grants titles charges estates judgments taxes assessments and encumbrances of what kind and nature soever, and the said Willis M.R. BASS, for himself and his heirs the above described and hereby granted and released premises and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenance unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said party of the first part and his heirs and against all and every person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant by these presents forever defend.
