In the name of God Amen. I William HUNT of the County of Richmond and State of North Carolina being very sick and weake in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain thismy last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all Igive my soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be interred in decent Christian order at the discretion of my Executors and as touching my worldly estate I give and dispose of the same as follows: Item I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna Cloe HUNT all the tract of land where on I now live of one hundred and seventy acres also five head of horses ten head of cattle together with all my household furniture and plantation tools and ll my stock of hogs also one negro man (namely)Jim to her use during her widowhood. Item I give to my beloved son Alamander HUNT all that tract of land of one hundred and thirty acres whereon he now lives and two tracts of land lying in Montgomery County, one of three hundred acres the other one hundred acres. likewise negro Jim at the death or marriage of his mother. also one half of the property my wife Ann Cloe HUNT leaves at the exepiration of her widowhood. Item I give to my beloved daughter Nancy WOODARD a tract of land in Richmond County of three hundred acres lying on Falling Creek also one hundred acres lying in Robeson County. Item I give to my beloved daughter Priscilla BLACKWELL one half of the property that my wife Ann Cloe HUNT leaves at the expiration of her widowhood except negro Jim which is to be Alamanders. Item I give and bequeath to my two sons Alexander HUNT and Richard HUNT twenty shillings each to be paid by my Executors. It is my desire after all my debts is collected and all just ones paid the ballance if any there should be is to the use of my wife if wanting to support her in her widowhood. Lastly i appoint William McDaniel and Elisha Browson my Executors to this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two signed sealed published in the presence of us, Peter H. Cole, George Bounds and Hector McKinow. Richmond Co., Oct.Court, 1807. The written will proven in open Court by Geo Bounds and Hector McKennon-ordered to be recorded.
