Know all men by these presents that We Stephen Hunt Junr. & Luke Bird are held & firmly bound unto James Monroe, Esquire - Governor or Chief magistrate of the State of Virginia in the Sum of One hundred and fifty Dollars to which payment Well & truly to be made to the said James Monroe or to his Successors We bind ourselves & each of our heirs Exors & Admins jointly & Severally firmly by these presents. Sealed & dated this 25th day of Dec. 1801
The Condition of the above Obligation is Such that whereas there is a Marriage shortly intended to be had & solemnized between the above bound Stephen Hunt (Jr.) & Caty Bird now if there shall be no lawful Cause to obstruct the said Marriage then the above Obligation to be void else to remain in full force and Virtue.

Below is the first published abstract of the above found some years ago. The compiler was able to find the minister's return with date of the wedding. Notice they married Dec. 31. From a research perspective, we see 3 documents were created on 3 different dates in 1801 about the union of this couple!
