What Else Is New

June 4,2005: I have sold my house and now I'm in the middle of packing which isn't as easy as it was 28 years ago, when I first moved in this house. We should be closing on July 1st. If every thing goes O.K. We were going to buy now, but decided to wait a year or so to be sure of where we want to buy. Have a house located to rent til then.

I want to use this for new things selling homes, new babies, marriages, graduation's and what else is new. If you have something new to add please e-mail me. That way the family can keep up with the news.

Nov.16,2005: About two months ago My older sister & her husband Nancy & Dave Chamberlain sold thier house here in Orlando, retired early and moved to Charlotte North Carolina close to where my oldest son Bobby lives. The owned a piece of land there and now have it ready to have a new Modular home on it that they recently bought. They want to get settled in before winter comes. It does snow there but not like in the northern states.

Also my son Bob & wife Deb are going to be grandparents soon. Debbie's daughter Shannon (Shannon was Debbie's from her first marriage but Bob helped raise her)is going to have a baby soon. That will be my first Great Grandchild.

JUNE 20,2006:-- I am back on line. The house we were living in (renting) was sold so we had to move, which we did a month ago,but because it was a brand new house that we are now renting, they had to not only wire it for cable but we had to wait for them to add the address to the cable company service. I didn't understand all of it except we had to wait over a month without cable tv, internet and phone service. I did get some TV because I resorted to the old coat hanger in the window. I guess that is showing my age. We now have a really nice two story with 4 bedrooms.I have the master suite which is BIG the closet alone is bigger then some bedrooms I have had in the past. Will write more about it later on and try to add some pictures also. Lots to do.

June 15,2008...I want to add that I was in New York last October and was able to attend The October 6th meeting of the Jefferson County Genealogical Society. Some of us met early for lunch at the Blue Heron resturant then the meeting was held at the town offices behind the Lyme Free Library in Chaumont. It was a very special meeting for me as Julia (nee:Empie) Gosier was the guest speaker. I knew Julia when we lived in Brownville in 1959/1962 When my sister Nancy and I spent time visiting her as we walked to get the mail. At the time her father was post master of the post office in Brownville. She had been given crates of old glass plate negatives which were made by the Oren Johnston studio of Clayton. Of these 595 are of local individuals who are identified. Julia has copies of the pictures and an index of the names which she has made available. I have a list but at this time have been unable to get it typed to put on line. I will check it for any name you have in your family that might be on it. E-mail me and I will see if your surname is mentioned. The dates seem to be between 1864 & 1869. The pictures are very clear and for a small fee she will send you a copy.

We are now getting settled into a house off of rt. 27 still in Davenport. It has 4 bedrooms and a screened in pool. Chris loves the pool. Nice house the owners live in England, hope they don't want to sell it very soon. Not much yard and have a HOA to.
