James M. Weeks of Coffee County, Alabama

James M. Weeks was a veteran of the Creek Indian War of 1836-37. He served in Captain William Pouncey's Company, 1st Regiment Volunteers. In October 1892, Gatsey Weeks filed an application for Widow's pension. In 1893 she was awarded a pension of $8.00 per month. On 15 April 1897, she was dropped from the rolls for failure to claim the pension.
