H. M. GRACE

H. M. Grace, 78, of Wauchula died Wednesday, May 14, in the Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 20,1901 in Geneva County, Ala.  He had lived in Wauchula for the past 50 years.

H. M. was  truck farmer and attended the Lake Dale Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Curry) Grace; five daughters, Emma Jean Stroble of Canton, Ohio, Faye Marie Wilson of West Palm Beach, Herbert Hazel Cline of Arcadia, Flora Grace Long of New Smyrna Beach, and Velma Grace Woods of Metter, Ga; two sons, James Monroe Grace and Billy Thomas Grace, both of Wauchula; a brother Hardy Grace of Ozark, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, at the Lake Dale Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Rhoden and Rev. R. E. Ellerbe officiating. Burial was held in the Lake Dale Cemetery.

 

VELMA GRACE

 "Mrs. Velma Grace. 64. wife of H. M. Grace and resident of the Lake Dale Community died Tuesday morning at a local hospital. She was a native of Mississippi but had lived in Florida for many years and was a member of the Lake Dale Baptist Church.

Surviving besides her husband are two sons, James Monroe Grace of Wauchula and Billy T. Grace of Zolfo Springs, five daughters, Mrs. Emma Strouble of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Faye Marie Wilson of West Palm Beach, Mrs. Hazel Cline of Arcadia, Mrs. Flora Long of Winter Park and Mrs. Joyce Calloway of Savannah, Ga., two brothers Lamar Underwood of Samson, Ala. and Roy Underwood of Winter Graden, one sister Mrs. Ethel Brackins of Coffee Springs, Ala., 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 2 p.m. at Lake Dale Baptist Church with the Rev. J. D. Long officiating, assisted by the Rev. E. J. Clayton. Burial will be in Lake Dale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Henderson, R. V. Haze, Jack Cash, Woodrow Branning, Charles Cowart and Carl Coker.
