This photo was taken on 21 July 2002. The church lost its steeple and the large pines on 13 August 2004 during Hurricane Charley.

Lake Dale Missionary Baptist Church was organized on July 1, 1932. Groups of Baptists had met at the Lake Branch School and the Pine Dale School prior to organization of Lake Dale.
