Richard Plantagenet Ellerbe, son of John Crawford Ellerbe and Anna Maria Wickham, was born 04 Mar 1835 in Marion County, South Carolina, and died on 13 Jul 1899 in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida.  He married Julia Elizabeth "Betty" Lamb in Marion County, South Carolina, daughter of Alexander Lamb and Margaret David.  She was born 15 Jul 1836 in Marion County, South Carolina, and died 04 Nov 1887 in Polk County, Florida.
