CARL EDWIN  and MARY LAWRENCE (BURNETT) OSBORNE

by Tom Osborne (tlosborne@aol.com)

Page 4

This picture is of Mother and Daddy and four sons taken behind the house on the Clinton Road, July 3, 1966. For the record, L to R: Tom, Bob, Mother, Daddy, Jim, and David.

When David got out of high school, he went to Paducah Junior College for two years, then went into the Army for the Viet Nam war.  This is his enlistment picture; June 1968.

This photo shows the entire family in August 1971.  By then Mother and Daddy had 6 grandchildren.  This picture was taken at the house on Clinton road, which is the "family homestead" to all the grandchildren.

In 1972, my family had moved to Georgetown, MA, and in 1973, Mother and Daddy came up for a visit.  This is a picture of Daddy relaxing in my modern white chair, reading the encyclopedia.

This portrait of Mother and Daddy was taken in 1976 for the Lone Oak Baptist Church directory.

This picture of Mother and Daddy and four sons was taken at Christmas 1976 in the house on the Clinton road.  About a month before, when Mother and Daddy had been in Memphis babysitting for Bob and Pat, Daddy had become very ill and went to the emergency room.  It was there that they discovered he had the disease, Lupas E.

This was also taken at Christmas, 1976 (Mother thinks 12/20/76) when Arlene, Kelly, Ralph, and I drove the motor home from New Hampshire south to New Orleans and back at Christmas.  L to R: Tom, Arlene (Tom's second wife and the mother of Kelly), Jim, Pam, Carol, Pat, Carl III, Leah Ann, Andrew, Bob, Ralph, Allen, David, Brenda, Kari, Mother, Kelly, Daddy, Kim.  Charlotte did not make the trip with us and is the only one missing.  The number of grandchildren had grown to 10.
