| Cordelia Hight born ~1815, married on 9 October 1833 Troup County, Georgia to John Buce Jr. John, son of John Buce and Rutha Smith, was born about 1813 in Georgia. Cordelia, probably born about 1815, died about 1842, possibly during the birth of her last child, Martha. John married (2) Martha Sanders on 1 November 1843 (Book 2, Page 60) in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Martha was born about 1822 or 1828 in Georgia. John and Martha are found living in Wynn Creek in 1860. John is listed as a blacksmith. John Buce was a private in Company B, 47th Alabama Infantry Regiment. He was wounded at 2nd Manassas, Virginia probably on August 30, 1862. He died of his wound on 5 September 1862. At the time of his enlistment, he was 51 years of age. |
