Joshua V. VINYARD * Lucy E. UMPHRESS

Joshua V. Vinyard was born 15 April 1856 in Alabama. He married Lucy E. Umphress on 03 November 1878 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Lucy was the daughter of Edmund and Sally Canada Umphress and was born on 25 October 1861 in Tallapoosa County.

They moved to Texas sometime between 1885 and 1889. They settled in Grayson County  where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Lucy died on 17 January 1916 attributed to a fire in their home in Grayson County.

Joshua remarried Mrs. Louella _______ Blackerly. Louella was born in 1869 and died in 1938. Joshua died on 10 May 1938 in Van Alstyne, Grayson County. Joshua and his two wives are buried in the Van Alstyne Cemetery.
