William T.
VEAZEY
William T. Veazey was born 30 March 1840. He married Martha Barnes, who was born on 04 October 1845. The marriage was recorded in Tallapoosa County as 12 September 1867. It is not known what relationship there was between Martha and Elizabeth Barnes, George Veazey's first wife, nor to James M. Barnes, William's brother-in-law. William was a member of the 3rd Alabama Infantry Regiment , Company L, in the Civil War. He died on 27 April 1895 and is buried in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Martha died on 07 April 1922 and is buried in the Dadeville Cemetery in Tallapoosa County.
