Edmund M. UMPHRESS

Edmund M. Umphress was born on 31 March 1848 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He married Annie L. Evans on 25 November 1871 in Tallapoosa County. His brother John R. was the bondsman for the marriage. Annie was born 30 June 1854 in Georgia.

Edmund died on 29 July 1884 and was buried Van Alstyne, Texas. Annie later married John M. Hunter. She died on 6 July 1899. She was buried beside her second husband in the Van Alstyne, Texas cemetery.

Found in Grayson County, Texas on 1880 census.
