William A. SCOTT * Texas Ann
GRAY
William Alexander Scott was born in Tallapoosa County, Alabama on 07 May 1854, the son of John and Susan Scott. He married Texas Ann Gray in Tallapoosa County on 15 February 1874. Texas Ann Gray was born on 03 February 1854 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, the daughter of Columbus and Amanda Pattillo Gray. William and Texas moved to Texas around 1885 and settled in Gillispie County. They later moved to Guadalupe County.
William was a Methodist Minister in Alabama and continued to preach after he came to Texas.
Texas died on 08 October 1914 and William remarried to Mary Derham on 27 December 1916 in Staples, Texas.
William A. Scott died on 03 February 1919 in Staples, Guadalupe County, Texas. Both William and Texas are buried there in the Staples Cemetery.
