Thomas Jefferson Porch was born on 28 July 1836 in Meriwether Coounty, Georgia. He married on 14 December 1859 in Greenville, Georgia to Sarah Elizabeth Boleware. Sarah was born in 1836 and she died in 1911. Thomas died on 28 April 1921 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama and is buried in the Sunny Level Methodist Cemetery, Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Thomas served with Company K, 34th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
