R. LOCKETT * Isabel VEAZEY
Hugh R. Lockett was born on 22 April 1839 in Georgia. He moved with his family to Tallapoosa County, Alabama and there he married Isabel Veazey on 06 October 1864. Isabel Veazey was born on 14 June 1843 in Tallapoosa County, the daughter of George W. and Mary Cardwell Veazey. Hugh was a Methodist minister and was a Civil War veteran, having enlisted in Company A, 1st Alabama Regiment, serving as a cook. He returned to Tallapoosa County and lived until moving to Grayson County, Texas in December 1876. He died on 16 February 1917 and Isabel died on 25 Feburay 1913. They are buried in the Tioga Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas.
