Hugh Reese LOCKETT * Mary Francis "Mollie" PATTILLO

Hugh Reese Lockett was born 13 Jun 1857. He married Mary Francis "Mollie" Pattillo on 08 December 1887 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Mary Francis, the daughter of Francis Marion and Mary Jane Gray Pattillo, was born on 26 Mar 1867. Hugh died 24 Jan 1901 and Mary Frances died 25 Jan 1938. They are both buried in the Red Ridge Cemetery.

• Orrin LOCKETT, born February 1898

• R.V. LOCKETT, 1900-1980 married Frances Finch (1910- OD); both buried Dadeville Cemetery

A son of Hugh and Pallie Powell Lockett, Lomax Powell Lockett, was a great help on the original research on the Gray and Pattillo families. I had the opportunity to visit with him on two different occasions and was saddened to hear of his death in 1993.
