James Henry KNOX * Elizabeth LOCKETT

James Henry Knox was born about 1840 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He married Elizabeth Dolly Lockett in 1867. Elizabeth was born November 1836 and was the daughter of Hugh R. Lockett and Sarah Woodward. Family living beside parents and brother John in 1870. Henry died in Grayson County, Texas in 1880. Elizabeth is found in 1880, widowed, living close to her Lockett family and next door to her sister Mary Catherine Sanford. She is found in 1900 Elmore County, Alabama living with son David.

James Henry probably served with Company K "Goldthwaite Greys", 47th Alabama Infantry Regiment during the Civil War
