Sarah (Sallie) JORDAN

Sarah Jordan was born about 1820 in Georgia to Elijah and Celia Smith Jordan. She was living in Tallapoosa County, Alabama when she married Samuel Knox on 17 Oct 1838. Samuel was a son of Martin and Polly Knox, natives of Ireland and was born in 1812 in South Carolina. Samuel moved to Alabama and lived there until 1870, when he moved to Arkansas. He enlisted in the Confederate army in 1862 and served until the surrender. They had fourteen children. Living in Logan County, Arkansas in 1880, with several children living close by.
