Edward James "Ned" CANADA * Lizzie

Edward James "Ned" Canada was born in 1858 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. He first married Hethie Yarbrough. She died, possibly from childbirth with her third child in 1888. Edward married a second time to Mattie A. _____, who was born in Missouri in 1862. He later married "Lizzie" Elizabeth Burson, who was born about 1856. E.J. and Elizabeth came from Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Texas, first to Grayson County, then to Runnels County in the late 1880's. They bought land six miles west of the community later called Novice, in Coleman County. Edward died on 04 July 1930 and is buried in Midway Cemetery.
After Edward's death, Lizzie married Bryant Porch Jr. on 24 December 1933 in Tom Green County, Texas (Bk I, Pg.290). Bryant's first wife was Linnie Burson, a sister of Lizzie. Lizzie died on 8 November1934 in Tom Green County. She is buried as Lizzie Porch in the Midway Cemetery beside Edward Canada.
