Mary Ann Buce was born about 1847. She possibly married Wiley J. Hight/Hite on 23 March 1863 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.
Wiley was a private in the 1st Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company A. He was discharged on 20 March 1862.
Wiley was later a private in the 47th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company B. He was captured at the Wilderness, Virginia on 6 May 1864. He was later exchanged. He died of sickness at Howard's Grove Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on 1 April 1865.
