Sarah Ann MOTE * James Alexander LAW

Sarah Ann Mote was born on 9 August 1839 in Alabama. She married James Alexander Law on 30 December 1857 in Tallapoosa County. James was born on 5 July 1833 in Georgia.

James Alexander Law was a private/corporal in Company B, 47th Alabama Infantry Regiment. He was wounded and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on 2 July 1863 and later exchanged. He was discharged on 1 September 1864.

James and Sarah were living in Tallapoosa County in 1860 then moved to Coosa County and was living there in 1870, 1880 and 1900. Sarah died on 7 February 1905 and is buried in Equality. James died on 10 May 1907.
