He married Carrie Gies. Carrie was born in Michigan March 1872. She was the daughter of
Henry Gies and Elizabeth Beschlid. Carrie died 2/10/1940 in Detroit, MI.
He petitioned the court to become a citizen in Detroit, MI, 6/6/1900. 1901 Detroit Directory lists him as a harness maker at
486 Grand River Ave.
