The will of Thomas Stockley, Yeoman of Tingewick, written October 1763, proved April 1764

This is the last Will & Testament of me Thos Stockley of Tingwicke in the County of Bucks Yeoman made the 27th Day of October in the Year of our Lord 1763 as follows that is to say (viz) first I give & devise unto my wife Sarah Stockley for & during the Term of her natural Life all that my Leasehold Close of Pasture Ground call'd Elmley Wood with the appurtenances & the Tithes thereof Parish of Buckingham & from & after her Decease I give & devise the same Close Tithes & premises with their appurtenances unto & to the use of my Nephew Wm Stockley (son of my late Brother Edward Stockley deceased) his Executors Administrators & assigns for & during all the then Residue of the Term of Years Estate & Interest therein.

Item I give & devise all that my one Quartern of a Yard Land in Tingwick aforesaid which I purchas'd of James Markham & all that my half Yard Land in Tingewick aforesaid which I purchas'd of Thos Spratley with their appurtenances (being copyhold of Inheritance & which I have surrendered to the Use of my Will) & also all other my real Estate Whatsoever, whereof I have any Towes? to dispose unto & to the use of my said Nephew William Stockley his Heirs & Assigns for ever? Item I give all my Household Goods & Household furniture whatsoever unto my said Wife to her own Use. And as to for & concerning all my Ready Monies Cattle, Corn, Grain, Hay, Implements in Husbandry & rest & residue of my Personal Estate whatsoever (after the Payment of my Debts & funeral Expences) I give & bequeath the same unto my said Nephew William Stockley to & for his own Use & I do appoint my said Nephew William Stockley the sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & Seal the Day & Year first above written
