The will of Ellen Caporn of Islington 1818-1843

Ellen was the daughter of James Caporn and grand-daughter of Joshua Caporn of Tingewick.

This is the Last Will and Testament

Of me Ellen Caporn of Arnotts Crescent Lower Road Islington in the County of Middlesex Spinster I hereby give and bequeath all my Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever unto my dear Mother Mary Ann Caporn of Arnotts Crescent aforesaid Widow to and for her own use and benefit absolutely And I hereby appoint the said Mary Ann Caporn sole Executrix of this my Will And I hereby revoke all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this duly? to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this twentieth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four - Ellen Caporn - Signed and acknowledged by the said testatrix Ellen Caporn as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses Chas Turpin Gent. Salvador House Bishopsgate Street - Wm Grave 23 Bedford Row Sol'r.

Proved at London the 29th April 1845 before the Worshipful Augustus ffeodocir Bayford Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of Mary Ann Caporn Widow the mother the sole Executrix to whom Admon was granted having first been sworn duly to administer.
