In the name of God \ Amen \ I CHRISTOFER FFENIMER of Newnton Purcell in the countie of Oxon \ husbandman \ being sicke in bodie but whole and perfect in mynd and memerie doe make my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge.
Imprimis \ I bequeath my soule to God who gave it \ hoping to have perfect remission of all my sinns by the death and passion of Jesus Christ my only savior and redeemer \ and my bodie to be buried in the church yeard of Newnton Purcell aforesaid \ Item \ my will is that all my temporall possessions, goods and lyvings be passed ioyntly together without seperacon by my wyff and my sonne John as shalbe hereafter specified and declared \ payinge out of the same those legacies heareunder named to the rest of my children in this manner \ as first I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ellin five pounds to be paid to her or to her husband the one halfe upon the feast day of the purification of the virgin marie comonly called Candlemas day next and the other halfe upon the feast day of penticost comonlie called whitsundaie then following \ which five pounds my will is shalbe made of some of those trees growing at TINGEWICK \ Item \ I give and bequeath to my daughter Ellin's childe a sheepe to be delivered unto her personllie after my decease \ Item \ my will is that my other three daughters Alice, Margarett and Mathew [?Ma(r)ther] have each of them tenn pounds a peece beside those cattell they now have which are to be sett out theire severall uses personllie after my decease \ Item \ I give and bequeath unto my son RICHARD three pounds beside the heiffers he now hath which shalbe sett out to his use personllie after my decease \ Item \ I give and bequeath to the poore of this towne three shillings...to the church [yard] \ Item to Anne Taylor my godaughter I give and bequeath a sheepe \ Item \ to my godsonne Christofer ffenimer a sheepe \ to be paid unto everie of them personllie after my decease \ Item \ my will is that all the rest of my goods, possession and possessions, lyvinge or lyvings, cattell or chattell \ moveable and unmoveable \ unbequeathed \ shalbe used; had, occupied and enioyed ioyntly together by my wyffe and my sonne John \ Butt yet my will is that they shalbe wholie at my wiffes disposinge whome I doe make my sole executrix to see this my last will truly discharged and my [f--e--] honestly performed; furthermore my will is that my sonne John bothe for his part to be an obedient sonne and a true and faithfulle servant unto his mother during her widowhood and not to marie without her consent \ but if he doe then to depart quite a way \ not molestinge her in anie thing \ And allsoe my will is that my wiffe for her part shall not marie to the hurt and hindrance of him and the rest of my children but if she doe marie then I doe bind her by this my last will and testament to surrender up her estate of that my house and lyvinge at TINGEWICK personallie after her day of marriage or before unto my said sonne John his hands \ and to his onlie use without anie impeachment of [ ? ] and to pay the said legacies to everie of my children above named within one twelfemoneth after her mariage, or if she doe not marie then to pay them at the houre of her death or else at the daye of their marriages whichever of the three times above named doe come first \ then theire said porcons shalbe paid then if they be not paid before \ Item \ my will is that my wyffe doe deliver [a cow?] unto my sonne John within one twelvemoneth after my decease which I doe give unto him besides his former porcon \ Lastlie my will is that if anie of my said children John \ Richard \ Alice \ Mararett or Mathe[w] doe depart this liffe before they have theire said porcons paid them and be not married that then the porcons of him \ hir or them soe dyinge shalbe indifferently devided a\mongst the rest.
