Oliver Howe & Mary Ann Hunter Next -->

Oliver Howe appears to have been the fourth child of Oliver & Jane Howe (third son).  At least three different birth dates are recorded for Oliver Howe.  Church records from County Fermanagh list his birth date as 24-JUL-1853. The 1901 Canadian Census shows it as 4 SEP 1854.  Finally, his headstone lists his date of birth as 24 July 1852.  The census shows Oliver as having been born in Ireland.  He is listed as being “Methodist.”

Immigration to Canada

According to the 1901 Canadian Census, Oliver Howe immigrated to Canada in 1880 at age 25.  It appears that he may have initially lived in Walsingham Township where he met his wife Mary Ann Hunter.
